Dear Iris Orchestra patrons,
It is with great regret that we write to tell you that we are cancelling the May 2nd and May 3rd Iris Orchestra concerts. With the current COVID-19 public health situation, the CDC has recommended that all events or gatherings of 50 or more be canceled for the next 8 weeks. Taking this and the health and safety of our musicians, host families, and patrons into consideration, we feel this is the only responsible choice.
Iris will do all it can to continue to support its staff and musicians through this time. This period of uncertainty is challenging for everyone, and we are working very hard to make sure that Iris Orchestra stays strong and is there for all of us when, on the other side of this crisis, we will need music more than ever.
We have several options for May ticket holders, and we have a request: would you support Iris by converting your May concert tickets into donations? Gifting your tickets back to Iris is a simple way to support our future at this time of uncertainty.
Here are the options for your May 2020 subscriptions:
- Donate the cost of your May 2nd and May 3rd concert tickets to the orchestra to support Iris (the cost is the price printed on your tickets). We will send you a confirming letter for your tax records.
- You can apply the cost of your May tickets as a credit when you purchase subscriptions for 2020-2021.
- If you have already purchased your 2020-2021 subscription, you can exchange your May 2020 tickets for additional tickets to any upcoming Iris concert. For all upcoming concerts, please visit irisorchestra.org/2020-2021-season.
Please email Kayla Seabrook at firstname.lastname@example.org with your with your preference.
We appreciate your understanding and wish you all good health.
