Laura Dwyer is currently Flute/Piccolo with the Santa Fe Symphony, Winter Opera St. Louis, Iris Orchestra and the Colorado Music Festival Orchestra. She has also performed with the Palm Beach Opera, the Santa Fe Opera, the St. Louis Symphony Orchestra, and the Opera Theatre of St. Louis. She was Principal Flute of the Sarasota Opera for many years prior to leaving the position to teach flute at Jacksonville University and the University of North Florida. Laura was recently a featured soloist on Washington University’s Great Artist Series , the St. Louis Symphony’s Community Programs Series and a featured soloist with the Chamber Society of St. Louis. Laura teaches Flute at Maryville University, McKendree University and Jefferson College. A nationally recognized yoga instructor, Laura teaches classes for musicians geared toward creating increased technical and expressive freedom through body and breath awareness and continues to present annual master classes at the University of Michigan and other major learning institutions throughout the country.
