ALLISON OSTRANDER, violin
Violinist Allison Ostrander is concertmaster of the Minnesota Opera, a member of the Iris Orchestra and The Four Voices String Quartet, and performs regularly with the St. Paul Chamber Orchestra and the Minnesota Orchestra. Previously, she has held positions with the Naples Philharmonic, served as assistant concertmaster of The Wisconsin Chamber Orchestra, and a fellow with the New World Symphony. In 2014, she was appointed on the faculty of University of St. Thomas in St. Paul where she maintains a violin studio and oversees chamber music. An avid chamber musician, she has performed in the chamber music series at Spoleto as well as the Painted Sky Chamber Music Festival held in Flagstaff, Arizona. Ms. Ostrander can be heard on the Naxos label performing Steven Hartke’s Rose of the Winds string octet with members of the Iris orchestra and the Lifescapes label performing music of J.S. Bach with the Four Voices String Quartet.
