River Oaks Restaurant is proud to partner with IRIS Orchestra during their special Restaurant Week in a celebration of Arts and Culture of the Mid-South. IRIS Orchestra, under the baton of Michael Stern, is the resident professional orchestra of Germantown Performing Arts Center. Their December 10-11 concerts will feature renowned pianist, Yefim Bronfman. The concert program is the inspiration for this classically inspired menu
Potato Dumplings with caviar and caramelized fennel and leeks
As aromatic vegetables, fennel and leeks have the ability to enhance any dish with which they are paired. Just as the various instruments that form the orchestra enhance a piece, the blending of these ingredients creates a delicious symphony of flavor.
Pheasant Ballotine with chestnuts and oyster mushrooms
This lovely French inspired dish pairs beautifully with IRIS Orchestra’s December concert program as half of the featured composers are of French origin.
Sturgeon Filet with golden beets, beluga lentils and carrot chiffonade with Martini Sauce
This River Oaks creation continues the evening on a delicious note. The contemporary, bold flavors are indicative of the composers featured in the upcoming IRIS concert: Fauré, Mahler, Roussel, and, particularly, Tchaikovsky.
Chocolate Profiteroles with coffee macaroon
This sweet dessert is a lovely coda to conclude any culinary experience. IRIS Orchestra’s December concert finale, featuring renowned pianist, Yefim Bronfman, is equally satisfying.
